The three-part textile work Kaaf, Saaf & Sangam (2026) can be found by the staircase between the first and second floors. The artwork consists of padded black forms on blue bunad fabric, surrounding images of human figures positioned at the centre of each composition. The figures have been photographed through a semi-transparent layer and appear mythical: half-human, half-animal, luminous yet simultaneously blurred. It is as though they are in the process of shedding their skin or dissolving.
Dhunsi is interested in the swimming pool as a space of transformation, purification and rebirth, drawing inspiration from Hindu deities and Japanese mythology, among other sources. He is also inspired by letters and concepts derived from Arabic, Urdu and Sanskrit.
Stovner Bad has also acquired two other artworks: Solveig Lønseth’s sculptural glass work Hun bader (2026) and Germain Ngoma’s sculpture Astro/Diver (2026).
